Commanders sale vote dates put endgame in sight

The NFL informed owners to be available for a possible special league meeting on July 20 and Aug. 8 in anticipation of a vote on Josh Harris' $6.05 billion purchase of the Commanders. If the league selects July 20, that means Rivera and Co. could officially have a new boss by the time training camp begins.

Josh Harris' limited partners bring complexity to Commanders sale

When Josh Harris met the NFL's finance committee Wednesday, the billionaire did so to discuss his pending purchase of the Washington Commanders. Since signing a deal to buy the franchise for $6.05 billion last month from owner Dan Snyder, the agreement has been under careful review by the league.

ESPN: Commanders have had best offseason in the NFL

ESPN's Bill Barnwell gave the Commanders the top spot in his annual ranking of the NFL's best and worst offseasons. No move, Barnwell, wrote was more impactful than owner Dan Snyder agreeing to sell the franchise to an investment group led by billionaire Josh Harris.

Federal judge questions Brian Davis' Bank of America lawsuit

A federal judge raised questions about Brian Davis' lawsuit against Bank of America regarding its handling of the Washington Commanders' sale and said in an order Wednesday that she would not respond to his request for an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order until the investment bank responds to the complaint.

Commanders' trademark application denied, team to respond

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has denied the Washington Commanders a trademark for "Washington Commanders," noting that the name is to be likely confused with an existing trademark and prior applications that were filed before the team tried to register the mark.

New York, California probing workplace discrimination at NFL

The attorneys general of New York and California announced Thursday that they are investigating allegations of workplace discrimination at the NFL, citing lawsuits filed by employees that describe sex, racial and age bias, sexual harassment, and a hostile work environment.

Top 30 prospect visits tease Commanders' draft pick interests

The NFL draft finally begins Thursday after months, if not years, of information gathering by each club. Part of that process includes the Top 30 visit, which allows teams to bring in up to 30 draft-eligible players to their facilities for further interviews, medical exams and other inquiries.

Attorneys for former Washington employees ask NFL to bar Snyder from suing accusers

The lawyers who represent more than 40 former Washington employees sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday to request that the league and its owners require a provision into the final sale of the Commanders that would prevent owner Dan Snyder from pursuing legal action against anyone who participated in investigations related to the team.
