A three-alarm fire has been ignited by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (“Appeals court again blocks construction of Mountain Valley Pipeline,” web, July 11).

Congress removed jurisdiction from the court over this pipeline. The court ignored the law and issued an injunction halting work.

No surprise there; the political left has pushed an ignore-the-court mantra since the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs.

This ruling by the 4th Circuit could be the beginning of the end of our judiciary if not crushed clearly, decisively and publicly. If we allow this to go unchecked, our judiciary will go the way of the Justice Department and FBI.

The court must revoke its decision immediately. The lawyers who filed the lawsuit should have their law licenses suspended, if not revoked. The judges should be disciplined.
