Per their playbook, the Democrats are hellbent on indicting former President Donald Trump for the Jan. 6 “insurrection” (“DOJ invitation to appear before Jan. 6 grand jury amounts to ‘ambush,’ say legal analysts,” web, July 18).

Forget the Black Lives Matter and antifa’s $2 billion property damage and 25 deaths in 2020.

Mr. Trump held hundreds of peaceful rallies — yet somehow his supporters suddenly turned violent on Jan. 6, 2021? Mr. Trump had asked for reinforcements to law enforcement for that day but was denied.

So the incurious mainstream media and Democratic operatives immediately pounced on the supposedly lawless Trump supporters and pushed the “insurrection” narrative.

They even led the charge against the QAnon Shaman, Jacob Chansley, who they said personified the violence.

It’s time for FBI Director Christopher Wray and others to tell the jury just how many of that agency’s operatives were planted in the crowd on Jan. 6. They must release all the videos of the day and get emails from all those who failed to take action. We need to know just what the FBI knew ahead of that day’s events.

So far, all we have heard has been from the kangaroo court whose animosity toward Mr. Trump is well documented. Considering the deplorable actions of the FBI (documented by two inspector general reports) and the failure to investigate President Biden and 2020 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for influence peddling, any indictment of a Republican is a badge of honor.

While the left maniacally pursues Mr. Trump, Mr. Biden has led the country on a downward spiral socially, economically, militarily and legally.
